It's been nothing but rain in Cornwall today. The ground cannot cope so we have little streams running down the country lanes taking gravel and leaves with it.
So today was a day to stay home and keep warm. As daughter back at Uni and son soon to be back at school. I decided it was a good day to take the Christmas Decorations down. I started with the easy bits then tackled the tree in the lounge. So you're guessed it needles everywhere. So a good hoover around as well. Then I did venture outside and got wet ,removing all the outside decorations. I was cursing myself at how many baubles I had managed to hang on the trees, but I must admit it did look so pretty..
The decorations are all neatly packed away now, waiting for their reappearance next December.
I have not taken my paper balls down. I think I might leave them up for a while.......
The last of the sweets are nearly gone and most of the Christmas snacks/ party food is finally coming to an end.
I've got one more day of relaxing because son has a inset day so does not go back till Tuesday;
Then it will be back to normal. But I am ready for normal.
I managed to still find time to make a few bits and will show you these in later posts.
But for now more of my buys
Not sure how old this is. But I love old wooden toys and could not resist this.
It was only £1.00 and is very study
I bet it has been so loved and played with.
Ted is now retiring at our house.
It's a lovely find. I do think wooden toys are so appealing.
