Hi everyone hope you all had a great Valentine's Day.
My flu then turned into a very annoying cough which was very nasty and gave me coughing fits.
This then lasted over a week which gave me very little sleep. My daughter had the same cough at the same time.
We were looking forward to seeing Wicked at the theatre, but in the end we had to give the tickets to a friend because we were both so ill. I still have a bit of a cough but it is well on its way to going.
I am so glad to be feeling better, fed up with not being able to go out or do anything.
I will now be catching up with all your lovely posts.
Valentine's day my hubby brought me a card and some chocs. I made a card for him and my
children. We had a lovely roast and just relaxed at home. We did not go out
because myself and my daughter were still ill......
The sun is out in Cornwall today. The dogs are chilling in the garden. Hubby is cutting
some hedging down which has got out of hand. Son is on half term holiday, so no school runs this week.
Archie is having a little sleep on my lap after his lunch.
I thought I would show you some pretties in my house and some coming up in the garden.
Bertie helping hubby.
Have a great day.
Hugs Rosezeeta x
Hi Rosezeeta, thank you for your post on my blog. It looks like we have plenty in common. Isn't it good to see some flowers blooming - it feels like a long winter. I hope that you can finally shake off the lingering effects of the flu. Nasty bug.
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to Spring. I am rarely ill but this bug has been with me for four weeks. But nearly gone now.

Hi Rosezeeta glad you are feeling a bit better, your spring flowers are lovely, I really like how you have planted them in the bowls from the kitchen, that's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteIt was just what was around at the time. I have lots of these spare bowls as I have been collecting vintage china for a while now. Glad you like.

that bug is doing the rounds here in Canada. I was talking to my mam in Cumbria and she was saying that she saw her first daffodil in flower on Monday. So you are way ahead of them up there with your spring bulbs. As for us in Southern Ontario, can't see the gardens for snow!!!
ReplyDeleteGill in Canada your newest follower
Welcome Gill. I hope you enjoy mjy posts. Yes seen lots of pics of snow. Never have it like that here in Cornwall.
DeleteI hope you are keeping safe and warm at home.

We have friends whom we met in Mexico who are from Cornwall. They have visited us in California, but we be have not visited them. They are no longer together unfortunately. He was an innkeeper at the Sennen Cove Inn and she is a hairdresser in Penzance. We laughed when they visited and we told them we lived in a really old house - 1927. They explained that their house was 600 years old. I see that you also live in an oldie.
ReplyDeleteYes my house is about 300 years old. young compared with theirs.... Lots of really old houses in Cornwall.

It is good that you are on the mend, your pretties are very pretty indeed. The pompom window trim is gorgeous, I hope you do not mind but I am about to borrow the idea for my sewing room. It will keep my fingers occupied and stop me thinking about chocolate, it is Lent after all.
ReplyDeleteI think the pom poms will look great in your sewing room Pam. Nothing will stop me thinking about chocolate.......

No fun being ill when you start missing out on fun thing. Glad you were able to enjoy Valentine's Day in a nice way at home. Your flowers are so pretty in the pots! And look! You have spring already! Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteWendy
Just bad timing to catch the bugs, Wendy. The flowers have cheered me up.

I am sorry to hear you were so sick, Rosezeeta. Hopefully, you are feeling better now. It is too bad you missed Wicked. I'm sure you were disappointed to have to give your tickets away, but at least the tickets went to a friend, who I'm sure enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks lovely! I am eagerly awaiting Spring here. I was planning what annuals I was going to put in this year when we got hit with a round of snow. It kind of dampened those thoughts - for now anyway.
Nearly fully recovered now Kathy. Yes was really disappointed as we had the tickets for a year. but two coughing women nearly being sick would not of gone down well. My friend had a fad time with her husband, so at least not wasted. Will have to catch the show another time. Snow would put a stop to everything. Poor you. I think we will not get any more now. Keep warm and cosy in doors.
