UPCYCLED CHAIR FOR SNUG ROOM

As you know I have the painting bug at the moment.
We have lots of old pine boring furniture which came from our house in London.
So I am now having a sort out and up cycling lots of it.
I found this old chair and thought it would be perfect to put in snug room but
it needed to be yellow to go with the new sofa.







The tin maybe messy! but honest I am not a messy painter.



 
I have never liked this chair but now I have painted it.
It is like a new piece of furniture.





I have put it in the corner of the room near the bookcase with a yellow throw .

I could not get a decent picture so had to put it in the middle of the room to photograph it.





When this room is completely finished I will try to get better pictures for you.......

    I LIKE it! The paint is such a bright and happy color. This will be such a fun room. Maybe you and your paint would like to pay me a visit. :-)

      Hi Betsy. I am doing a lot of paintinfg of furniture now. Have got the painting bug. Must be because it's Spring.

    Your chair looks great and in this beautiful yellow it seems to me - not that I know a thing! - to have a very Scandinavian feel to it!! xx

      I am not sure Amy, I read look at a lot of styles but in the end I just do my own thing.

      After painting Gill you have to apply a wax. I am using clear wax at the moment ,then that protects it.

    This is the first time I have had yellow like that in the house, but after buying the IKEA sofa for the snug room I am adding splashes of it around the house. My list is getting longer. HA! HA!
