1st July already, can you believe that. Hope you are all staying safe in this heatwave.
Today was a lot cooler in Cornwall and it even tried to rain but not for long.
This morning I went along to my local church coffee morning with Arhie.
It is always such a relaxing time and is for a good course. Then I had to leave a bit
early because I was expecting a delivery. Will post about that at a later date.
Still trying to play catch up and trying to spend time reading your lovely posts
so bear with me.
So now to this post
I was lucky to come across three wooden bits of furniture at my local boot fair.
As you can see they were orange pine.....Which you will know I am not a fan of.
So I painted them grey with chalk paint.
Then distressed them with sandpaper.
That is my bunnie Flop getting in the picture.
It only took two afternoons as I painted them in the garden in the sun.
I think you will agree they look so much better now.
Ready for a new home now.
So pretty. I keep reading about the chalk paint but haven't painted anything myself yet. My Hubby isn't a fan of painting wood so I have to win him over first.

Hi Betsy. The chalk paint is fantastic. Hope you can win your hubby over.

What a change. They look completely different with the chalk paint. I must give it a try some time.
ReplyDeleteYes Janet and when you do , you will be hooked.

They look great ... I always think it is amazing how a lick of paint and a bit of imagination can transform a bit of 'orange' pine!
ReplyDeleteChalk paint has saved a lot of orange pine.
