If you read my posts you will know I am doing a lot of painting.
I have decided to up cycle furniture some to keep some to sell.
This week I bought this bedside table which has a shelf and one drawer.
All wood perfect to paint. At the moment I am using Anne Sloan paint.
I choose a lovely blue for this project.
I took this paper out. and gave it all a clean.
I will probably put some floral paper on the shelf then varnish on top to protect it.
I also bought two matching kitchen chairs with seat pads which can be removed.
I also painted these in the same blue.
The seat pads are perfect but they are a brown colour so I will probably change
to a pretty floral material to match the blue.
I have ordered a really pretty new handle to go on the bedside table.
So now I just need to find fabric for the chairs.
I will do a post to show you when I have finished.
Then I will put them up for sale.
Fingers crossed someone will love them.
I LOVE this color blue - you've done such an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteYes really pretty blue, they still need to be finished.

I keep meaning to try Annie Sloan paint. Was there much prep involved (sanding cleaning etc) ? Does the paint feel chalky when dry ? Do you have seal with wax or varnish ? Questions questions lol!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Easter. Looking forward to seeing the finished chairs :)
Jillxo
I just wiped the furniture down. You do not need to sand. so easy Yes the paint does feel chalky and you have to seal with a wax which makes it feel smooth. Have a fab Easter Jill.
