Two old pine chairs which were given to me.
One I painted yellow, the other pink.
It was too cold outside so I did this one on my counter top.
Naughty but I did give it a really good clean before I made tea.
I always paint the underside, I do not like to see bare wood .
Finished at last.now only the waxing to do.
And this is the other chair which I did first.
This is in my workshop. As you can see I am having a sort out.
Can you see my cabinet behind the pink chair. I won this on Ebay for 99p.
I had to collect it which was local to me. And I gave them a £1.00 as I could
not bear to count out 99p.....It was my lucky day!
I am going to up cycle this and then sell on. If I do not fall in love with it.
I will show you how I get on, and what I do to it.
Can you spot Bailey he knows that's another new piece of furniture.
I really love the yellow chair, it looks fab! xxx

I am now looking sideways at my pine table and chairs, I quite fancy a white table top with the frame and legs red and red and white chairs. Oh what about blue and yellow, pink and green, I better think about it. They will not be plain pine for too much longer.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you said red Pam. As I was thinking of buying my new kitchen chairs in red but changed my mind at the last minute as I have all pastel colours. Blue and yellow is very french. There are so many nice colour combinations. Looking forward to seeing what you do.

Beautifully done, I'm a big fan of upcycling. I don't blame you for doing it indoors, it's been so chilly lately. Have a good Easter Rosezeeta.
ReplyDeleteI like upcycing because it is always a challenge and old furniture is sometimes better made.CJ.

Lovely colours, I love you ebay bargain, I always look at the local deals, you can be very lucky sometimes, Happy Easter to you and yours x
ReplyDeleteYes I was lucky this time Have already started painting it but it is very fiddly because of all the glass. This piece will take me longer.

Chalk paint! I was just looking at that in the paint store the other day. I love the yellow and agree about painting the bottom. I love natural color wood too, but color can add such cheer and joy to a room.
ReplyDeleteHi Leigh. Loving the chalk paint not just the finish but that I do not have to sand each piece before, which was so time consuming. Finding lots of furniture I had forgotten about so have plenty to do. But nice and sunny in Cornwall at the moment., so can paint outside.

Yes love the pastel colours but need to buy different colours now maybe orange, green or white. It makes it less boring for me to paint then.Poppy.
