TOO MANY CREAM TEAS ????

Well as you know Cornwall and Devon are well known for their cream teas.

When I go treasure hunting/shopping I always try to find a nice tea/ coffee shop.
But now I have Archie with me all the time it is a bit more awkward.

So I thought I would take a few pics of places we have been to recently.

First we went to the town of Liskeard in Cornwall.
This tea room had lovely inside seating, but when I walked in with Archie I did not
feel comfortable so did not ask to sit inside.(not everyone wants a furbaby next to them
while they are eating). They have a lovely enclosed garden so we sat outside.
It was such a beautiful day I did not understand why more people were not outside.
There was only one other person enjoying the sun.

I love a cream tea but I do not drink tea so I always have a hot chocolate instead.

                                                          The beautiful walled garden.

Our next shopping trip was to Tavistock in Devon

This tea /coffee house is tucked away off the main high street.

Again it was a beautiful sunny day, so we found a lovely table outside.

Their cream tea was lovely and they even brought Archie some water out.

Because it was off the main shopping area Archie could have a little run around
w                                            without the fear of him getting stepped on.

And the last cream tea  I had with my hubby in a Vintage tea shop in Callington Cornwall.
This is such a lovely tea shop which I have been to many times. They have always allowed me to take Archie in since he was 10 weeks old. And their cream teas are hard to beat.

As you can see Archie loves scones.........

And yes those scones are that big. I managed one and half only.

Well after looking back at these pictures I realize I have had too many cream teas this month!

So next time I go out it will be a coffee only!  Honest!

A BIG welcome to my new followers I really appreciate that you like my little blog enough
to follow me........I still get a thrill to see someone has joined me.

Hope you have all had a good day.

  4. I have NEVER had a cream tea. Never even knew there was such a thing. I am a coffee girl here- Starbucks through and through. lol
I had to laugh at your sweet pup making the trip with you. Here there are no dogs allowed in any stores or restaurants or cafes unless they are service (seeing eye) dogs. That is so cute there! xo Diana

    1. I am a coffee girl also... It is the same here only dogs to help people with sight/blind problems. But where I live in Cornwall you have lots of independent shops which do not seem to mind Archie. I think it is because he is so
tiny less than three pounds in weight and when we go shopping he is in a special dog carrier with only his head popping out . Most of the time people do not realize I have him. And when they do they make a fuss over him..
There are a couple of independent coffee/tea shops who do not mind us sitting inside. But Starbucks etc would be a no.Diana I prefer the small different places anyway.

    1. Julie. yes it looks good there. But have not tried them because they always look busy. I wonder if we have passed
each other, that would be funny. When I go to Tavi I always go to the market especially when they do vintage bits and pieces .If you spot a woman carrying a cream chihuahua it will prob be me, The coffee/tea shop I went to was down the allyway by the bike shop. I would recommend.
