BELATED FINISHING TOUCHES AT CHRISTMAS.

Christmas crept up so quickly that I did not show you my finishing  touches.
So better late than never.

Still using camera on phone. So quality not that good. It looks like my camera can't be fixed. Damm!
So will have to save the pennies for a new one. As Santa did not bring one.

This I made for our double gate on our drive. It's just a few twigs tied together then decorated.

I continued with the same colours as in our house.

T

This is one of our lounge windows. I thought it looked so cosy from the outside.

                                            My attempt at snowflakes

This I made from twigs from our garden and bits I brought to match our colour scheme.
This time I attempted a circle. The ribbon I had. It cost pennies to make.

My porch needed a tree. So I brought one from Tesco's for £2.50 a bargain.
But I did not like the stand.so I planted it in one of my pots in earth. Being artificial I don't think it will grow...... My daughter had a good laugh at me doing this.
We added battery lights, so spare baubles and a tiny gold angel to the top. I think it finished the porch off.

Did you spot the snowflakes hanging on the front door?

I think it looks really pretty.

Maybe next year I might have more outside lights.

VINTAGE STYLE BAUBLES.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I caught my children,s cold. So was really ill over the festive days .But as a mum you just have to carry on.
We had a lovely couple of hours Christmas Day opening presents and eating lots of sweets for breakfast, then I somehow managed to cook the dinner and clear up before taking to the sofa with my tissues and Lemsip not a pretty sight......

Today the sun was shining for a short time and I after a quick pop to the shops for milk etc I spent some time with our horses, who are appreciating lots of hay and treats at the moment.  Their paddocks are really muddy with not much grass for grazing at the moment. So even Christmas Day I had to go visit them (I sang Happy Christmas to them! Mad I know but I am a soft touch) and gave them extra carrots and apples.

I have taken a few pics over the hols and will show you these in later posts. but for now I will show you some of my finds before Xmas.

I have been looking for Vintage Baubles for a long time.

But I think so is everyone else.

I still have not come across any.

But I found these four in a local charity shop. I don't think they are Vintage !  In fact I know they are not.
Just in the style off. But I thought they were pretty enough to come home with us.

                                          At only 40p

I will keep hunting for the real Vintage ones.

But in Cornwall they are rare.

Have you found any?  Would love to hear.

HOMEMADE CLAY PRESENT TAGS AND DOG Bailey dog model.

I thought I would make some clay gift tags. So while watching the t.v. I used some Christmas biscuit
cutters and cut out some Christmas Stocking shapes. I then put letters on each one (for each persons name). Then the easy bit leave to dry. THIS IS AIR DRIED CLAY.

Can you see what else I m making.

I  brought my clay from W.H. Smith but they sell it in most places. It cost £3.99

My daughter wanted a model of one of her dogs, Bailey . So I gave it a go.

                                    Looking more like Bailey.

And I could not resist making some special tags for my Daughter , Son and Husband.

Bailey Finished I hope she likes it.

Now they are all drying,

Not sure if I will paint them .

Going shopping now to pick some pretty ribbons for them.
