ONE OF MY MAKES- FELT FLOWERS.

Since having my craft bits altogether I am now having fun creating.

I like to hand sew as much as using the machines.

And this is a little make I did one morning out of oddments of felt.

I decided to make some felt flowers to put in one of my milk bottles.

First I made some cardboard templates.

Then I cut the same out of coloured felt.  And decorated with a bit of stitching.

I choose a button for the centre of the flower.

I used these for the stalk. I had to twist two together to make it stand.

I love using glass jars for storage.

Each circle I stitched. In contrasting threads.

I joined all the layers togeather with the button.

I added a circle of felt to the back to hide all the stitches.

Then I made another, This time with cut out edges.

Now they are growing. Here is two and today I made another. A completely different shape.

Do you like my little milk bottle. My daughter brought me four of these a few years ago.
They even have screw on lids. So sweet. I have used them  for lots of displays.
