RECYCLED CUSHION FOR BENCH.

I had some old seat cushions that I longer wanted . So I decided to recycle the foam.

I needed a new cushion for one of my benches.

So I cut the rounded corners off each pad and hand sewed them together.

Then I wrapped some material I had around the foam.

Then I hand sewed the material around the foam.

Then I cut four pieces of material to make ties.

                                          Hand sewed these as well.

Its not perfect but it was free.

We now have a comfortable sear.

  2. Well done, Rosezeeta, a terrific project! You've inspired me to do something similar to our old church pew which I swear is made of the hardest timber on the planet!

  3. Thats a great idea for recycling. Is that a church pew too? I would love one of those for our dining table seating!! (The prices have shot up around here though, I am on the lookout).

  5. Anne its not a church pew. I have two benches that came with my table which is 7ft by 4 ft and just about fits in my kitchen. Our local church was getting rid of pews for £50 each the other day but like a fool I did not buy one........
